
How to Make Traditional Bibimbap-A Korean Food Favorite
Step One: Prepare the Ingredients
Bibimbap is a signature Korean dish composed of steamed rice, beef, and a variety of vegetables. To make the traditional version, you’ll need: cooked short-grain rice, cooked beef (or pork or chicken), soy sauce, red pepper paste (gochujang), sesame oil, vegetable oil, one or two eggs, garlic, sprouts (mung bean, soybean), zucchini, mushrooms, bell peppers, carrots, spinach, and kimchi.

Step Two: Cook the Ingredients
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook your beef until it’s brown. Add the vegetables (except for sprouts), garlic, soy sauce, and pepper paste. Cook until the vegetables are soft.
In the same skillet, stir-fry your sprouts. This should take just one minute.

Step Three: Put It All Together
In a hot cast-iron bowl, layer your ingredients: rice, beef and vegetables, noodles, eggs, sprouts, and kimchi. Drizzle everything with sesame oil, vegetable oil, and pepper paste, and you’re ready to serve.
