Korean Spicy Squid Soup, otherwise known as Ojingoh-tang, is an excellent seafood dish that is sure to tantalize your taste buds. This savory soup is a popular staple in many Korean restaurants, but you can also make it at home with just a few simple ingredients.
Ojingoh-tang is made from fresh squid that is simmered in a flavorful broth of dark soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes). The combination of flavors creates a unique and mouth-watering spiciness that is truly unique to this dish. The broth is then finished with vegetables, such as scallions, cellophane noodles, and mushrooms.
One of the best things about making Ojingoh-tang at home is that it can be adjusted to suit your tastes. If you’d like a spicier version, simply add more red pepper flakes. If you prefer a more mild flavor, reduce the amount of red pepper flakes and use less dark soy sauce.
